The second greatest spa in Czech Republic was recognized as balneal town in 1818.
There are about 40 cold springs of a temperature of 7 - 10°C here. The most well known are the Ambrose’s spring, the Cross spring, the Rudolph’s spring and the Maria’s spring. Further medicinal source is peat and natural carbon dioxide. The springs welling in a small area have very different chemical composition, this fact being a balneal rarity. Diseases of urinary ways, diseases of movement apparatus, disorder of metabolism, dermatic diseases, articular diseases, diseases of respiration organs, women diseases and carcinoma diseases are treated here.
